TAS 030 Income Report – March 2015 – $34,914.66 Amazon FBA Sales

This is my second Income Report posted on The Amazing Seller blog and podcast. I wanted to share the numbers to show that these numbers are possible by selling as and FBA Private Label Seller.

There’s many sellers out there that are blowing these numbers away, but I wanted to share my journey and hopefully share how I plan to grow my business over the next 12 months.

Before we get into the show notes, I wanted to mention a couple things I mentioned on the podcast.

Below you will find my notes I created for the podcast. I thought you might want to see them broken down.

Total Amazon Sales Generated in March 2015 –  34,914.66

Product #1 – 1,630 Sold – 50 Per day
Product #2 – 148 Sold – 5 Per Day

=>Last Month – 25,039.39 –

Increase of 39% for the month

  • Here’s the break down:
  • 1289 Units Sold
  • 1179 Orders – Customers
  • Product Costs & FBA Fees – $$18,224.00
  • Amazon PPC = $1,211
  • Profit = $15,775 = Per Day $509 Day

*Average Sales –50 Per Day

Bottom Line – $15,475.10

QUESTIONS
Question – How long is product 1 been running?
Answer – 5 Months – Started on October 22nd

Question – Do you use a specific program or excel template to keep track of all these metrics?
Answer – Just a simple Google doc
Create simple doc with – Cost of goods – Amazon Fees – PPC – Profit

Question – Where in Seller Central do I go to pull the same report? or is this outside of SC?
Answer – Business Reports – Custom dates

Plans for April

Ordered 500 more of product #2 and plan to promote 100 units for $2.95. Drip out 20 per day for 5 days. Collect reviews using my email auto responder through Feedback Genius

Product #3 should be LIVE on April 15th and plan to run promotion – 100 – over 5 days.

Product #1 – Expand keywords in PPC

    One question for now though: Without being specific, what (average) rankings are your products to be selling 50 and 5 a day?

    • The average BSR is between 500 and 1,000 to receive 40 to 60 units per day. I also have another product that has ranked at 15,000 and done 10 sales per day.

        • I have my information business that generates my income. But, I will start paying myself with the Amazon business soon. I’m almost there.

          • ok nice what information business? if i may ask? Also what would you recommend for someone like me who has two kids a wife and has to pay for food, rent, clothing and other expencives?

  • Hi Scott, Thanks for the valuable content. Is there a reason you’ve not included Leadpages & Aweber in your Additional Fees?

    • Hey Don,

      Actually I probably could have, but I’ve been using these for my other businesses and I just created a list in Aweber and my Leadpages. So, I’m just using a small portion for my Amazon Business. So, maybe like $50 per month you could say.

      It’s not much.

  • Hah I’m in my 40’s as well, I wish I had this sort of opportunity in my 20’s! Although back then I probably would have screwed it up 😉

    Question for you: Can you take money out as a salary at this stage without sacrificing growth? I was thinking I’d need to put in at least 6-8 months in before I can begin paying myself. Is that what you’re seeing?

    • Hi Rich, I won’t lie. I’ve taken little for myself…but just
      recently. Most goes right back in.

  • Re. INCOME REPORT – MARCH 2015. I haven’t been well for some time and your podcast is like medicine. No joke. I truly look forward to hearing about your your progression each week. So psyched to learn and implement and feel useful again! My question – What were the avg daily sales for product #1 and product #2 when you were researching/ tracking each product? Do your current daily sales for #1 reflect/ exceed those initial figures? I understand inventory and promotions were low on #2. Good luck with really getting this one going and Congrats on the awesome revenue figures!

      I’m so glad that I can brighten your day just a little. That feels good.

      Product #1 had 3 sellers ranking between 100 and 1,000. Product #2 was between 800 and 10,000.

      Product #2 is just a matter of time before I get it to 20 sales per day.
