…answer your questions here on the podcast and I’m going to do it again here this week and today we’re going to be talking about what if my pay-per-click keywords are not converting to sales? What do I do? And this could be during a launch. This could be during a relaunch. This could just be any time that you're trying to sell more of your products. So, that's what we’re going to be talking about in today's Ask Scott session. Now, if you have a question that you want me to answer in an upcoming Ask Scott session, all you have to do is head over to TheAmazingSeller.com/Ask and you can do it there. You can leave a comment or a voicemail. The other way you can do it is by heading over to my YouTube channel over at TheAmazingSellerTV.com, leave a comment there, questions there, and I'll do my best to answer in the comments or I might answer on an upcoming Ask Scott session just like this. So, definitely leave your questions over there.

Now, a couple things I want to discuss here before we jump into today's question and that is, number one, I have a little reminder. It's December 2018 depending on when you’re listening to this, if you’re listening to this before December 20th and you wanted to get access to TAS Breakthrough U which has all of my trainings there, also, I do two live calls every single month and what I'm doing right now for anyone that joins before the 20th, you are going to get access to a brand new Private Label Classroom. And that is going to be our updated but overhauled version of Private Label Classroom which is going to be what it did before, which was help you find products that you can successfully launch on Amazon, but it’s going to go way deeper than that because we’re going to talk about how to build a brand around this market and then how to provide products and services to this market, how to bring in other revenue streams, how to get traffic, how to do external list building.

[00:01:57] Scott: Like, all of that stuff is going to be included inside of the brand-new Private Label Classroom and that will be available to the public probably mid- to late-January inside of TAS Breakthrough U as a new member by December 20th. If you get in by December 20th, you’re going to get full access to this training which will be available to the public for around $1,500 to $2,000. So, if you're interested, head over to TheAmazingSeller.com/Training. Like I said, the doors will be closing to that December 20th and I will not offer it this way again. So, definitely go check that out. All right. So, my thoughts of the week are this. Give things a chance. I see so many people giving up way too soon and they say, “Well, that thing didn't work.” Well, you gave up too soon. You need to understand that we’re all result-driven like we all want to see results. I do, you do, we’re all the same.

But the one thing that I've realized over the years is if I just say, “You know what, I’m going to commit to this thing,” and I’m going to give it everything I have for 90 days or six months or a year, whatever it is, and then I generally will force myself through those times that I feel like I'm not being motivated because I'm not seeing the results. I mean, let's face it, you start a diet and you don't see like a pound being lost, you’re going to get discouraged, right? So, you have to understand that we need to give things a chance and you need to give things a chance. Don't just keep bouncing around from this shiny object to this shiny object. You need to stay the course and give it time. There’s something that I just recently did on Instagram and I was only doing it on Instagram because it was a way for me to actually hold myself accountable and that was I decided to do a 100-day challenge for myself and anyone else that wanted to join in. And this was 100 push-ups every single day for 100 days straight. At the time I’m recording this, I’m at 10 days at 100 push-ups per day so 1,000 push-ups. Not bad and I'm going to keep going.

[00:04:03] Scott: It's something I know I can do every single day and guess what? When I do that, I'm also getting myself in the gym and then from there, I get to do a workout or at least even if I don't do a workout, I know that I've done something productive and I know that I've done something consistently and it just transfers over to other parts of my life. So, again, you need to commit to something. You need to sign up yourself on your own schedule, but actually, fit yourself in that schedule to show up every single day to get that thing done. If that's building your business then you need to allocate the time and you need to also commit to doing it every single day even if it's one small chunk. I'm telling you, I've done it. I've done it where I've given up too soon and then I'll go back six months later and I’ll restart again and then once I push myself through, I’m like, “Darn, why didn't I just stick it out a little bit?” I see this a lot.

Even with pay-per-click, we’re going to talk about that here in this session, you’re going to hear that maybe just gave up too soon, maybe you didn't give it enough of a chance, or maybe you're not looking at the right data or maybe you just are looking for a result that you want a positive ROI when you might need to let it go in the negative a little bit in order to get the positive ROI. So, there's so many different factors that go into it, but the one thing that I've noticed through the years is just, you know what, if I stick it out and if I put in the time, if I commit to something, I’ll generally see a result, and then from there I can adjust and I can decide what is the next move. So, don't be impatient. All right. You need to give things a chance. So, with that all being said, let's go ahead and dive into this week's question and I will give you my answer. Let's do this.

[Q&A]

[00:05:57] Scott: So, here’s the question. I’ve launched my product and I created a pay-per-click campaign, manual and auto, but none of my keywords generate any sales. Is there anything else you recommend doing? All right. So, let's talk about this. Now, there's a bunch of different ways that we can launch our product but we’re going to really talk about if you're using pay-per-click as your launch vehicle, well, we need to make sure that our images are really, really strong, okay, because let's face it, when people are searching and they see your ad, it needs to pull them in. It needs to get their attention. So, images are a must. You must have really, really good images. Now, moving down the checklist, we want to then look at our title. Is our title exactly what they are looking for? Now, here's one of the big problems that I see. A lot of people will say I want to go after this one keyword or the search term because it gets a ton of traffic. But when people land there, is it really what they're searching for or is it your product that is going to be the result that they're looking for?

You don't care about how much traffic you get. What you really worry about is, is it the thing that they're looking for? And that's why I like to get really, really targeted with what I'm going after especially when we’re doing a launch. So, here is what I want you to make sure off when you're doing a launch. Make sure that it's exactly what they're looking for. So, an example would be stainless steel garlic press. That's what we’re looking for. Now, if I'm looking at a garlic press, that might not even be as exact as I want to be in the beginning. Yes, you can do a manual campaign and you can put in stainless steel garlic press. You can go after the broad term or you can go garlic press and then you can reach some random stuff. But what I like to do when I'm launching is get really laser focused and targeted on those things that if people searched for my thing, they’re going to be more inclined to buy it because it's exactly what it is.

[00:07:59] Scott: So, definitely make sure that the title is going to say exactly what they're searching for. Going down the list, we want to make sure that our listing is fully optimized, meaning that we want our keywords to be inside of our listing. Now, here's the deal. You might not be getting impressions. If you're not getting impressions, well, then you probably are not optimized. So, there's a bunch of different things that we have to look at. I'm assuming that you are optimized and I'm assuming that you're getting searched for and people are seeing your listing. Now, that's the one thing I would probably actually advise you to do. Do a quick little search and see if your ads are popping up. If they are then good. That means that you are being optimized for those search terms or those keywords. The other thing is, are you spending enough? Are you bidding enough on those keywords? That's another way of getting more traffic or getting more eyeballs. If you’ve only had 10 people to see it and you haven’t had anybody buy it, it doesn't really mean that the campaign didn't work. It just means you didn’t get enough traffic yet.

Now, here’s the one thing that I will suggest anyone that is launching a product using this strategy. What I mean by that is where you are actually using pay-per-click sponsored product ads to launch your products. Always, always have great images. Always have a great title and then always lower the price so this way here it's below your competition because, in the beginning, they are going to be basing it off of reviews. If you don't have a lot of reviews, then they have to be able to go, “Well, wait a minute here. If I'm going to go with this one, it doesn't have as many reviews, why would I go with this one?” Does it have a better image? Maybe, but is that enough? So, then what it's going to take is sales. Now, in the past, we've done giveaways and I don't say myself but people in this space have done giveaways, deep discounts of 90% or more off. So, why wouldn’t you reduce your price 25% or 30% just across the board to get some sales? That's what we want to do.

[00:10:01] Scott: So, with this strategy that you're trying to use right now, you need traffic, you need eyeballs. So, hopefully, this is giving you some ideas on what you can do to see if it's really your pay-per-click that's not working or a few other things that could be tweaked. Maybe that will help really get the launch underway.

[CLOSING]

[00:10:26] Scott: All right. So, there you have it. Hopefully, that helped you again give things a chance and look at the things that you can control like your images, your title, your bullet, your description, the backend keywords, all of that stuff. You need to understand we need to give it a chance like I said in the beginning. So, one last reminder, if you're interested in joining me inside of TAS Breakthrough U so I can help you build and grow your business into the future and there’s something I'm going to be talking a lot about and that is future-proofing your business, this is exactly what I'm talking about and what I'm teaching inside of TAS Breakthrough U. So, if you want to join me, head on over to TheAmazingSeller.com/Training before December 20th and from there, you can get full access to all my current trainings but then also the new updated version of Private Label Classroom. Again, before December 20th you can get access to that when it's created which will be first released inside of TAS Breakthrough U. So, head over to TheAmazingSeller.com/Training for all the details.

All right, guys. That’s it. That’s going to wrap it up. Remember, as always, I’m here for you, I believe in you, and I am rooting for you, but you have to, you have to, come on, say it with me, say it loud, say it proud, take action! Have an awesome amazing day! And I’ll see you right back here on the next episode.
